Shells lay listening,

letting the sea sing, and

you, lay quiet too

as sea foam rose and cuddled your feet.

My necklace clucked.

Amber and shells; heart on hand

to you. I swallowed salt

and your soul was air.

Purity foam. It calmed shivers;

turning them into a song. Still

tingling your toes, as they too

are precious as amber was.

The stone richer than gold,

preserved over years of

loving foam, as your toes too,

upturn to breath.
